Tyre storage for a prolonged period of time can cause damage on your car tyre if you do not know how the tyre storage is properly done.

Tyre storage care to consider when storing your car tyre

1) Do not store the tyre near the heat sources tyre should not have direct contact to sunlight. Avoid storing your tyre near motors and generators which yield ozone.

2) Tyres should be kept away from oils and chemicals.

3) When stacking the tyre horizontally, limit each stack to a maximum of 1.5 meters (5 feet) so as to prevent permanent deformation.

Before mounting a tyre on a rim or a wheel, be sure that the tyres inside surface, flaps and the inside surface of the rim or wheel are dry and clean. Keep compressed air sources for tyre inflation free of moisture.

Thought we do not often stored tyres for our car, it is still better if we know how to care for the tyre if in some cases we have a spare tyre for tyre storage.
