Car manufacturer always emphasize the checking of car tire pressure regularly to maximize the tire performance and durability as well as ensuring your car road worthiness.

When the car is parked on the shade for about an hour during afternoon, increase the tire inflation pressure to 2 psi beyond the recommended cold inflation pressure.

When your car is being driven not exceeding 45 mph, increase 4 psi beyond the recommended cold inflation pressure. However if it exceed 45 mph, 6 psi increase is necessary.

If for instance, you measured the tire pressure exceed the recommended cold inflation pressure by the above increase of pressure, when tire is hot. Don not release any air, as long as it does not exceed the inflation pressure variations the tire is capable to handle such increase.
