What Causes the Tire to Wear on Inside Edge?

Labels:

Tire wear on the inside means that here is problem on the alignment of the vehicle.

Wheel alignment means the straightness of the wheels with respect to that vehicle frame. When a mechanics described the tilting of the wheel, the term they used is the camber. The car wheel can either be a positive camber, negative camber, or no camber at all. The wheels is said to be a positive camber if it has been titled outward or away the vehicle frame, for the wheel that is tilted inwards or towards the vehicle frame it is called negative camber. However if the wheels is not titled then it has no camber.

When the tire is wearing mainly on the inside edge of the tire, this only indicates that the wheel is tilted inward or towards the vehicle frame, this wheel has a negative camber. Tilting inward can cause the tire to wear mainly on the inside edge.

Fixing this kind of tire problem requires an alignment job on the vehicle, when you detect that this kind of problem fix this at once to avoid a much worst tire wear. Sometimes a mechanic will advise you to replace some of the end parts of the vehicle, but do not agree with the recommendation without consulting other repair shop for a second opinion.
